BUSINESS SCHOOLS
ELECT DR. NORTON

May 8, 1953.

Dr. Thomas L. Norton of Rodney Rd., dean of the City College School of Business and Civic Administration, has been elected vice-president of the American Ass'n of Collegiate Schools of Business. Dr. Norton formerly served as secretary-treasurer of the association of 73 schools throughout the country.

Eminent in the fields of education and arbitration, he was appointed dean of City College in 1945. He is past president of the NYS Ass'n of Colleges of Business Administration and a member of the American Economic Ass'n and of the American Ass'n of University Professors.

A charter member of the National Academy of Arbitrators, Dr. Norton was a public member of the Wage Stabilization Board, Region 2, last year. He recently headed the special committee appointed by the State Mediation Board to settle the gravediggers' strike.
