Item STATUS (lower right of title screen):
For books:
- Not checked out indicates that the book should be on the shelf.
- Chkd-Out or Overdue indicates that the book has been checked out (note the due date).
- Returned on indicates that the book has recently been returned to the library. With a valid Baruch ID, you may use materials at all CUNY libraries and borrow books from most locations.(The CUNY Law School Library and the Graduate Center have certain restrictions on borrowing).
Item LOCATION (lower left of title screen):
For books:
- BARUCH STACKS indicates that the book is a circulating book located on floor 3, 4, or 5.
- Look at the CALL NUMBER of the item as indicated in the lower middle portion of the screen (Call number locations can be found on the Call Number Chart. For more information on call numbers, see Using Call Numbers to Find Books.)
- Other locations, such as BARUCH REFERENCE or BARUCH RESERVE will indicate the floor as well. (Note these locations carefully; a call number by itself does not tell you where the book will be found.)
For other materials:
- For non-book materials the "call number" is often further location information.
