Finding Textbooks

Please note: the library does not have copies of all textbooks.

  • Search the library catalog (sometimes has older editions as well as new ones)
  • Search Course Reserves (if you think your professor set aside a copy for your class)

When a book is already checked out
You can place a hold on it and be notified via e-mail when it is available.


When the library doesn’t own a copy of a specific book

  1. At another CUNY library?
  • Go to that library to borrow the book (bring your Baruch ID card)
    • Exceptions
      • Baruch students are not allowed to borrow books from the CUNY Law Library.
      • If the book is on reserve at another college, you may not be able to borrow it.
