Faculty Photocopy Cards

Faculty PhotoCopy Cards

Faculty copying cards are issued to faculty members and their research assistants for use on all of the coin operated photocopy machines located throughout the five floors of the library, the network laser printers, and the microfilm/fiche equipment located on the third floor.

Faculty members and/or graduate assistants (with a letter from their professor) may pick up or renew their copy cards weekdays in the Chief Librarian's Office in room 420 of the Library between the hours of 9a.m. and 5:30p.m. On evenings and weekends, the cards may be picked up at the Reference Desk.

Please note that the cards being issued have unique serial numbers and to receive a new card, the card being returned must have the same serial number of the card on record. Faculty members are responsible for the return of cards issued to research assistants and/or the payment of replacement fees.

General Policy Statement

The purpose of the faculty photocopy service is to provide the faculty with single photocopies of library material for research and instructional purposes. The service is a courtesy extended to the faculty in order to eliminate the need for charging out material for photocopying on department copy machines. The college subsidizes the provision of vending cards. It is in the interest of all to use this service judiciously and within the following parameters.

The service is not to be used to produce multiple copies of articles. Orders for multiple copies for classroom use should be forwarded to the faculty member's departmental secretary.

Adjunct faculty members are limited to one photocopy card per semester.

Making multiple copies of copyrighted material may be in violation of copyright laws. Copyright compliance is the responsibility of the card holder.
