The Newman Library provides many services geared toward Baruch's international student population. General information for international students on studying in the United States and at Baruch can be found at Baruch's International Student Services Center.

The library welcomes your assistance to translate the tour into additional languages.
Jiribilla Cuban Cultural Association:
Newman Library has received a donation of about 300 Cuban books from the Jiribilla Cuban Cultural Association. These can be located in the library catalog by searching. This collection consists of Cuban books on literature, history and culture.
Turkish Literature Collection:
The Newman Library has acquired a collection of classic and contemporory Turkish literature in English. The books were recently on display in the Engelman Reading Room on the second floor and are now found on the fifth floor.
Workshops:
The Library conducts many free hands-on workshops. Announcements are posted on the bulletin board
next to the reference desk and in the workshops and clinics
page of the library's web site.
Research Assistance:
The library provides general research assistance at the Reference
desk on the second floor of the library. For more specific assistance, faculty subject
specialists are available. Please consult the faculty
directory by subject.
Study Carrels and Group Study Rooms: Carrels for quiet study and group study rooms are available in the library. Ask at the circulation desk on the second floor if any rooms are available.
Laptops:
Laptops can be borrowed for use within the library or to take home.
