The Newman Library provides many services geared toward Baruch's International student population. General information for international students on studying in the United States and at Baruch can be found at Baruch's International Student Services Center, at http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/studentaffairs/issc/index.htm.

Special Foreign Language Collections

an assortment of books from the Jiribilla Collection

Jiribilla Cuban Cultural Association:  

Newman Library has received a donation of about 300 Cuban books from the Jiribilla Cuban Cultural Association. These can be located in CUNY+ by searching. This collection consists of Cuban books on literature, history and culture.

Turkish Literature Collection:

The Newman Library has acquired a collection of classic and contemporory Turkish literature in English. The books are on display in the Engelman Reading Room on the second floor and are available for loan.

Research Assistance

The Library conducts many free hands-on workshops on using CUNY+ and electronic information resources. Announcements are posted on the bulletin board next to the reference desk and in the Workshops and Clinics page of the Library's Web site.

Research Assistance:
The library provides general research assistance at the Reference desk on the second floor of the library. For more specific assistance, faculty subject specialists are available. Please consult the faculty directory by subject.

Library Services

Study Carrels and Group Study Rooms: Carrels for quiet study and group study rooms are available in the Library. Check the Circulation desk on the second Floor.

Laptop Computers:
Laptop Computers can be borrowed for use within the library or to take home. Please check Laptop Loan in the Services page of the Library's Web site.
