Who
is allowed to access library resources off-campus?
Access is limited to Baruch College students enrolled in a degree program ("matriculated" students), current faculty and staff, PCMH affiliates, and members of the CUNY School of Professional Studies community. To access library resources, all students, Baruch faculty and staff, must use their Baruch network usernames and passwords. All others must use their library ID numbers. For more details visit remote access eligibility page.

Simply go to the database you would like to access on the databases page, browse or search for database, and connect to it -- just like you would on campus.
If you are an undergraduate or a graduate student please enter your Baruch username and password. For all other eligible users please enter you library ID number.

If you are a Baruch student and if you are a student in the School of Professional Studies, contact the SPS helpdesk at (212) 652 - 2888.
If you do not know your Baruch username and password, please proceed to the Baruch username lookup page to retrieve your information. If you are still denied access please call the BCTC helpdesk at (646) 312-1010 for help or go to the BCTC Website for help.
If you are required to use your library ID and you are having problems authenticating, please contact us through the library technical problems form. Please remember to include all details relating to your problem.
If you can gain access from home but cannot from your place of work, the problem may be the security system ("firewall") your company is using. See the next section for an alternative means of accessing some of the databases.

Are
there other ways to access the electronic databases?
Some of the databases are available via the CUNY Office of Library Services. Both students and faculty should use their library identification numbers, just as they would for Newman Library materials accessed off campus.
