Undergraduate Services

Borrowing Library Materials

Materials may be borrowed with a valid CUNY ID. The loan period is three weeks with a three-week renewal. For more information, visit the borrow/renew page

 

 

Reference Service

Reference librarians and subject specialists provide assistance in locating materials and researching the literature. The reference desk is located on the second floor and is staffed most hours the library is open. Or chat online with a librarian now (24/7) or email us.

 

 

Computing

The library has over 100 PC workstations with access to resources for research. Laptops are also available for students to borrow. For more information consult the computing services page.

Workshops and Research Consultations

The library offers free workshops and research consultations.

 

 

Interlibrary Loan

Materials needed for research which are not owned by the library or available in full text online, can be borrowed from other libraries through interlibrary loan. Excluded from this are textbooks, study guides, workbooks, or leisure reading materials. Requests can be made through the library's interlibrary loan page.

Course Reserves

The reserve desk on the second floor provides access to course materials placed on reserve by faculty. A limited number of textbooks are also available. For more information, consult the reserve services page.

 

Photocopying

Photocopiers are located in room 309. Microfilm reader/printers are located on the third floor. Laser printing is available from all PCs in the library. A detailed description of these services is available on the copying services and network printing pages

Quiet Study Carrels and Group Study Rooms

A limited number of quiet study carrels and group study rooms are available in the library on a first-come, first-served basis. The key fine schedule is posted in the rooms. Please inquire at the circulation desk on the second floor.
